Anna Mill

Anna Mill is a designer, author, and illustrator from London. Her work focuses on the use of fiction to investigate possible futures, with projects ranging from pure narrative to strategy and prototyping.
She is a founding partner at Liquid City, a design studio run by visionary director Keiichi Matsuda.
Their projects interrogate the application of emerging technologies, using film, writing, drawing, and prototyping to help direct tech for good. As part of Mill + Jones, she has also created several works of science fiction, including Square Eyes - an epic graphic novel mystery set in a future city that won the World Illustration Award in 2018.
She recently completed illustrations for Folio Society's 40th anniversary edition of William Gibson's cult classic novel, Neuromancer.

Design Fiction
Anna's talk will focus on her work as a designer in emerging technologies at Liquid City, and also her work as an author/illustrator of Science Fiction - particularly when these two fields intersect and fiction can be used in design and design used in fiction.
