Helen Power and Chris Boyle are the co-founders of Private Island, a studio paradise that creates mixed-media commercials and short films. We animate, film, and generate all in-house. Which is nice. We have made our own Private Island Rum, earned a Guinness World Record, released a Christmas album, and paid to win lots of advertising awards.
The studio has been shooting, animating, AI generating and pixel f*cking work in our own unique style and sensibility for 10 years. Our work has been exhibited at MoMA, Sundance, The Venice Film Festival, seen hundreds of millions of times online, featured on the front page of The New York Times, and lovingly described by the global press as “Brilliantly bleak”, “A hallucinogenic nightmare!”, “What hell looks like!”, and “Joyful monstrosities!”
Private Island have built weird and wonderful worlds for everyone, from Nike, Lego, Ikea, EA Sports, Call of Duty, Adobe, Pokémon, Alienware, League of Legends, KFC, XBox, Meta, to the ultimate client…Themselves.
