Kurzgesagt — based in Munich — was founded on a simple idea: science doesn’t have to be dry or difficult. We believe that complex topics can be explained with clarity, beauty, and a sense of wonder.
Its mission is to inspire people to look at the world with curiosity and explore knowledge with fresh eyes. We work to spark a science-based, humanist, and optimistic worldview. To make scientific thinking and big-picture ideas appealing to as many people as possible — no matter their age, background, or level of expertise.
Everything we create is guided by our core values: aesthetic design, accessible storytelling, and a commitment to accuracy, objectivity, and self-awareness. Above all, we want to leave our audience with a sense of optimism. We believe a brighter, more utopian future is possible — and understanding the world is the first step toward building it.
