Emily Gosling is a London-based freelance writer, ghostwriter, and editor specialising in art, design, and culture across print and digital media. Formerly Senior Editor at AIGA’s Eye on Design, Editor-at-Large at Elephant, Senior Writer at Creative Review, Deputy Editor at It’s Nice That, and Acting Editor at Design Week, Emily’s writing has also appeared in Dazed, AnOther, Vice, The Huffington Post, Computer Arts, and in weekly branding reviews at BP&O. She is the author of Great Minds Don’t Think Alike (Hachette, 2018), a book exploring the creative process, and editor of Type Notes, an award-winning print publication dedicated to typography.
In 2018, she was named one of The Dots’ 100 Rising Stars inspiring change for her contributions to creative journalism. At MOUVO 11, Emily will present her research and reflections on the constant pressure of online media, exploring the need and urgency to stay visible, creative, and relevant—and how creators can navigate these demands while remaining sane, inspired, and well.
