Illo from Turin, Italy, was founded in 2012 by Ilenia Notarangelo and Luca Gonnelli. And Illo presented their work at MOUVO in 2019.
The small studio, mainly focused on creating explainer videos for tech startups, has gradually evolved and transformed. Today, it offers creative services ranging from illustration, and visual identity to motion design of a diverse nature.

A few years ago, the studio also started experimenting with automating video creation, and the Algo project, which was used by companies such as Bloomberg, has gradually evolved into a separate affiliate studio that specializes in data visualization, automated videos, and technical tools to facilitate motion design. Clear visual principles, simple design, bold illustrations, and colorful imagery are always common to the creative output of Algo and Illo.
